William (Bill) Rupp, MD

Dr. Rupp recently retired as Chief Executive Officer of Mayo Clinic in Florida.  Prior to that, he served in several other leadership positions within the Mayo Health System including President and Chief Executive Officer of Immanuel St. Joseph’s and Luther Hospital/Midelfort Clinic, Medical Director of Midelfort Health Plan and Chief of Staff at Sacred Heart Hospital.   Since 2009, Bill has served as Internal Trustee of Mayo Clinic Health Systems and has been a Trustee of Mayo Clinic (formerly known as Mayo Clinic Rochester).

Dr. Rupp is currently on the board of The Doctors Company, the nation’s largest physician-owned medical malpractice insurer. 

Dr. Rupp earned an undergraduate degree from Dartmouth University and his Medical degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School in Minneapolis.
